As school activities run into full swing and Justice for Mohbad continues to trend, it is imperative to wonder if students of the Premier University actually know what constitutes bullying and how to avoid or defend one’s self against such.
In our classes, clinical postings, religious centers and recreational centers, it is unavoidable that we might meet one or two persons who seem to derive pleasure in establishing dominance against others. Who knows, you might even be the bully.
According to the Oxford dictionary, bullying is seeking to harm, intimidate or coerce someone perceived as vulnerable.
Also, according to a survey, college, i.e University students perceive bullying as part of the top ten issues they have to deal with.
How then can you protect yourself from being a victim and how can you stop victimizing others.
-First….you should never think of yourself as victim and hold yourself in the highest regard anywhere. Appear confident, even if you are not feeling confident. Pretend to be, people can hardly tell the difference.
-Nuture meaningful and beneficial friendship: your friends can always be your shield and protect you from being a victim of bullying. Good friends can also correct you when it seems like you are trying to exploit others.

Be assertive: this is the ability to express yourself and define your feeling without disrespecting or undermining others. This gives you an authority where you are and anyone who wants to bully you would have to think twice.
