It’s a good thing you see your congested wardrobe as something that needs to be dealt with.

Getting new stuff is not the only achievement that can be made concerning your wardrobe. Getting rid of other stuff is an equally great step. Old, unused (often times unusable- a nice way of saying useless) and unnecessary items can take too much space, giving you a hard time choosing what to wear, making you run late for appointments and consequently, distabilizing you. Not to talk of the false impression of plenty it gives you.

So, straight to it. You need to declutter? Here are 3 essential tips to help you.

1. Decide to give out some of your stuff to people that need it- Select those things you can give out this weekend and watch the magic happen in your closet!

2. You probably chose to give out only those items you don’t like anymore. LOL! It’s fine though, but you wouldn’t get the best result. Next on the list is to select those items you do not wear often, at all or have not worn for a long time, even if you like them.
Truth is, you might not actually need them. If you think you do, wear them out once, then twice and see how comfortable you feel in them. You will discover you simply need to gift them.

3. Never dump clothes in your closet. Have your clothes folded up or hung. If this becomes a habit, you will see no reason, being so careful, folding and hanging a clothing items that you don’t use and you will see the need to do away with it.

Always bear in mind that
Usability of items, not quantity is the measure of a good wardrobe
