Hey beautiful people,
Animals are amazing and wonderful creatures; we all are unique and different species and sometimes very unusual in our behavior.
Have You Ever Wondered…
How many animals we have in the world?
How many species of these animals are there on Earth?
What facts about these animals do we love the most?
It is a good thing to wonder and be curious about other living things around us and today we are going to be poking our nose into the animal world. The word “animal” comes from the Latin “animalis”, meaning having breath, having soul or living being. Interesting isn’t it? I bet you didn’t know that before, I didn’t too.

The answer to our first curious question is not an easy answer, seems there are way too many animals in the world. There are just so many animals to count(Do we even know the number of animals there are?) and many of them are nearly impossible to track down or keep track of.Some are too small to see, and others are in places too difficult to reach. But, recently Scientist(subsequently, will be referred to as Big guy) have estimated that there are approximately 8.7 million species on Earth with 6.5 million species on land and 2.2 million in oceans.

Talking about the animals that outnumber humans, our Big guy believe there are over seven billion humans in the world today. That’s a jaw dropping number, but there are more chickens (over 18 billion) than humans….can you imagine that? Those cuck-a-coo’s. And that is not all!!! The number of chickens pale in comparison to the insect world, yes! Those little tiny organized creatures that you can’t help but wonder how they run their things. The Big guy estimate that there are over 10,000 trillion ants alive at any one time. Based upon those numbers, this brings the estimate of the total insect population at 10 quintillion, which is 10 billion billion! Wow!!!

Ever wondered why you look at some animals and you can’t help but smile(yeah, trust me I know there are annoying, wild and scary animals),Is it their cute or beautiful looks, their natural innocence or the emotional reactions that they elicit from us, those cute pandas, how those penguins walk on Natgeo wild, the tiny beautiful little bird….goes on and on(you might want to mentally add yours). So here’s a list of some of the very best, most interesting and downright funny facts about animals I could gather. Enjoy!

A snail can sleep for three years.
The fingerprints of a koala are so indistinguishable from humans that they have on occasion been confused at a crime scene.
Elephants are the only animal that can’t jump.
Frogs cannot vomit. If one absolutely has to, then it will vomit its entire stomach.
An ostrich’s eye is bigger than its brain.
Cows have best friends.
Dolphins have names for each other.
Before chicks hatch, they can communicate with each other and their mother through a system of sounds.
Dogs’ nose prints are as unique as human fingerprints and can be used to identify them.
Squirrels will adopt other squirrels babies if they are abandoned. (Awwwwwwwn, so cute)
Now how about those? I haven’t been able to get over some fact, they are just so intriguing. Now am going to add my personal fact
That animals are beautiful, amazing, intriguing specie is definitely not an understatement.
What do you think?
